As we are closing out another semester, we are excited for all that has happened this past year! We currently have 18 students enrolled in Open Eyes, ranging from 4th – 11th grade. We have 10 mentors who help to lead the monthly outings and connect with the students. We have had an exciting variety of outings in 2019!
January – College Planning and UAB Basketball game
February – Real Estate outing with local Birmingham agent – Eddie Harrington
March – McWane Science Center with Dr. Courtney Petty
April – Battle Republic – Exercise and Small Business Outing
May – Tigers for Tomorrow Animal Sanctuary
June – Shipt
July – Serve Project at Rising Hope Academy (classroom renovation)
August – Study Skills outing with For Other Prizes
September - Rickwood Caverns – Nature Outing
October – WBRC Radio and News Reporting Outing
November – Barbers Motor Sports – Automotive Outing
December – Nursing Hope Holiday Serve Outing and Patient Care Profession
